Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度は,研究目的(1)「離散構造間の距離とカーネルによる概念選択」の一環として,通常の木(無順序木)ではメトリックにならない線形時間計算可能なパスヒストグラム距離がキャタピラではメトリックになることを示し,それを同じく線形時間計算可能な完全部分木ヒストグラム距離と共に実データに適用して類似性を検証した.また,通常の木では多項式時間計算困難なアライメント距離をキャタピラで計算するアルゴリズムを設計・実装した.さらに,キャタピラの編集距離を利用した無順序木距離として重キャタピラ距離を定式化し実装した.
また,研究目的(2)「次元縮小と埋め込みによる概念選択」の一環として,画像データや音声データなどの高次元データからの次元の歪みを抑えて低次元へと射影できる高性能なピボット群を高速に抽出する方法として,増加再標本焼きなまし法を設計した.モンテカルロシミュレーションのメトロポリス法を起源とする通常の焼きなまし法の確率的揺らぎがlogit関数で説明でき,かつ,増加再標本焼きなまし法はlogit関数をそれと近似できるprobit関数に置換して定義できることから,増加再標本焼きなまし法が通常の焼きなまし法の近似になっていることを示すと共に,通常の焼きなまし法よりも,データ量の増大によって速度面で大幅な優位性が得られることを検証した.
さらに,研究目的(3)「高次離散化空間と高次ベクトル空間における基準創発」の一環として,データをコンパクトにビット列で表現したもので,局所性鋭敏ハッシュの一種であるスケッチを用いた高次元データの高速類似検索に取り組み,増加再標本焼きなまし法による最適化に有用であることを示すと共に,従来よりも狭幅な16ビット前後のスケッチを用いることで,バケット法を用いたデータ管理による高速化を可能とする検索手法を提案した.
