Outline of Annual Research Achievements

カンボジアのトンレサップ湖は，季節によって面積が大きく変化する特異性と，淡水域としては世界でも最高レベルの生物多様性で知られる湖沼であるが，近年の同国や周辺諸国での社会経済の発展によって，同湖の自然環境は激変し，さらにはメコン河本流でのダム計画の推進によって，同湖の豊かな生態系や自然環境は壊滅の危機に瀕している．本申請研究は，同湖において12年前に実施した生物多様性調査の成果をふまえ，当時と同様の総合調査を再実施し，生物群集や環境条件の現状を明らかにするとともに，その変化を定量的に解析したうえで，その変化を引き起こした外的要因を特定することを目的に実施した．さらにはこの湖に特有のアジア熱帯淡水生物相を保全するための方策を検討した．
本年度は，上述の研究課題を最終年度としてとりまとめるため，平成28～29年度にトンレサップ湖北部シェムリアプ沖ならびに同湖南部チュノック・トルー沖で実施した最低水位期（H28，29年3月），増水期前半（H29年5～6月），増水期後半（H28，29年8月下旬），最高水位期（H28．29年10月），減水期前半（H28年11月上旬），減水期後半（H28年12月中旬）における湖底地質学，水文学，陸水学，植物動態学，無脊椎動物学ならびに魚類学それぞれについての野外調査結果の解析を本研究参加者個々がまず進めた．そして，研究代表者と同分担者とで，それぞれの研究成果を相互に参照しながらとりまとめるための国内研究集会を平成31年1月に金沢大学で開催した．さらに，カウンターパートであるアンコール遺跡整備公団ならびにカンボジア工科大学の本研究参加者とこの成果を共有するとともに，この成果の今後の公表と同国の環境政策への活用，そして調査研究の今後の継続に向けての協議を目的とする国際ワークショップを同国シェムリアプのアンコール遺跡整備公団本部で平成31年3月に開催した．
