Outline of Annual Research Achievements

強相関電子系の高精度解明や第一原理的究明の多数の成果のうち字数の関係で数点に絞って述べる。
第一原理的なハミルトニアンを得る方法を改良して適用し、量子ソルバーで解いて銅酸化物の実験相図の初めての定量再現に成功したが、この結果から、モット絶縁体の金属化で生じる特有の強い有効引力が超伝導の主因であり、またストライプ相との激しい競合の原因でもあることを解明した。さらに超伝導凝縮エネルギーの主因を解明した。2種類のキャリア濃度のLa2-xSrxCuO4の界面での格子緩和が界面での電子状態の急激な変化を緩やかにし、界面一層での超伝導最適化に有利に働くことを示した。幾何学的にフラストレートした量子ハイゼンベルク模型で、電子が分数化し、スピノンを分数粒子として持つ量子スピン液体相が存在することを確立した。角度分解光電子分光の機械学習で自己エネルギーの正常部分と異常部分の顕著なピーク構造と全自己エネルギーでの相殺を発見していたが、ノイズの影響、外的影響、結果の異なる先行研究との比較検証から、この発見の信頼性を確立した。また「悪い金属」との関係、超伝導の転移温度を決める新たな要素を見出した。
高圧下の高温超伝導が量子結晶を舞台に生じていることを示した。Ni酸化物の超伝導と銅酸化物との比較および超伝導最適化に結びつき得る物質設計を行なった。準結晶超伝導の特異な性格を解明した。
ハバード模型のd波超伝導でのギャップの構造を求め現実の銅酸化物との差異に関する知見と洞察を得た。
種々のIr酸化物とRu塩化物の第一原理有効ハミルトニアンを導き、外部電場・磁場効果、電子相関効果、スピン軌道相互作用効果、トポロジカルな性質、物性と機能性を解明した。また、ルテニウムのハロゲン化物において、マヨラナ物質の実現の道筋を示した。
ランダム系の電子相図を機械学習で解明した。スキルミオンの安定化機構、電気磁気効果を解明した。

Current Status of Research Progress

1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.

Reason

銅酸化物の実験相図を第一原理的に再現した上で、超伝導機構に多くの知見を得たこと。角度分解光電子分光の実験データの機械学習解析に成功した上で、その信頼性を確立したこと。さらに超伝導転移温度のスケーリングや悪い金属との関係の解明も当初予想しなかった成果である。複数の分光学的手法とデータ科学手法(機械学習)を組み合わせて統合解析するという当初計画になかった研究方向を見出したこと。
高圧化超伝導や、Ni酸化物超伝導など本プロジェクトが始まってから活発化した研究にも対応して取り組んでいること。スピン軌道相互作用の大きな物質、トポロジカル物質に対して電子相関効果を解明するための第一原理研究が進展していること。ダイナミクスの手法開発が進展し、動的構造因子やスペクトル関数を精度高く求められるようになったこと。電子の分数化機構の解明が超伝導体と量子スピン液体候補に対して大きく進展したこと。ボルツマン機械を変分モンテカルロ法に標準的に取り込め、計算コードの高度化に成功したこと。第一原理計算手法を用いて強相関電子系の有効ハミルトニアンを導く手法にスピン軌道相互作用を扱えるよう機能を追加して今後の活用が可能になったこと。
などが理由である。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

計画した研究は順調に進んでおり、これらをさらに深化、展開していく。
機械学習法が量子多体状態をうまく表すのに大変有効であることと、実験結果を直接解析して、単純な解析では陰に隠れている物理量やふるまいを引き出す能力を機械学習法が持つことに関する研究をさらに進展させる。機械学習と高精度量子多体計算を組み合わせる手法を標準化して量子多体ソルバーに組み込んだのでこれを活用する。また実験結果の機械学習による直接解析については、光電子分光のデータとトンネル分光による準粒子干渉や共鳴非弾性X線散乱などを含めて、実験データ解析による物理の解明のための統合分光学の確立をめざす。
開発した手法とソフトウエアを公開普及することは本プロジェクトで追究する重要なテーマであり、HΦ、mVMC、RESPACKの連携を強化する。
定期的なグループミーティングは分担者である有田亮太郎、山地洋平の属する東京大学と代表者の属する早稲田大学で継続する。今までも行なってきた3か月に一回程度のプロジェクトの全体ミーティングは今まで同様、ただしオンラインで開催する。
また第一原理電子状態計算の手法開発においては、名古屋の豊田理研での軸足を生かしてエキスパートである名古屋大学の押山淳教授と本プロジェクトで雇用する博士研究員を交えて共同研究を展開する。また超伝導体、トポロジカル物質について物質設計に至る研究を強化するとともに、それぞれについて多数の物質での網羅的な研究も強化する。
