| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
栄養疫学において、平成28年度に疾患発症に関わる食事パターン抽出法の既存の方法の問題点を整理し、主成分分析に各食品群の疾患発症への影響を考慮に入れる新しい食事パターン抽出法を開発した。平成29年度には、さらに別の方法として層別逆回帰法も検討した。平成30年度は徳島大学の栄養疫学のデータを整備し、実際の栄養疫学研究において本研究で新たに開発した主成分分析の改良に基づく方法を適用し、男性労働者においてメタボリックシンドローム発症に有意に関連する食事パターンの抽出に成功した。
運動疫学では、九州大学で3軸加速度計を用いて測定された身体活動疫学データを用いて検討を行った。平成28年度は1時点で観測された身体活動データと疾患発症との関連の解析および、同じ集団を2時点で観測し、集団における活動の変化の解析における活動量計の装着時間の影響を評価した。平成29年度は同一の一般集団において3年という間隔をあけて2回測定された身体活動のデータを用いて、個人における身体活動習慣の変化を解析した。平成30年度には、さらに詳細に、座位時間、軽強度身体活動量、中高強度身体活動量、歩数の3年間での変化間の相関を解析し、座位時間の変化と身体活動量の変化の相関の解析、そして、各身体活動量が3年間で増加した人たちと維持または減少した人たちにおける座位時間の変化の整理により、身体活動量の増加が必ずしも座位時間の減少を生じさせておらず、身体活動量の増加と座位時間の減少の取り組みはどちらも大事であることを示し、そのことまでを論文にまとめ、Journal of Physical Activity and Health 誌に掲載された。
