Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we have investigated the relationship between concentrations of radionuclides in teeth of mice lived in polluted area after Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident and that in the soils in the same areas. As a result, internal exposures of teeth had few relationships with an air dose rate, soil concentrations of artificial radionuclides released at the accident. Accordingly, an air dose rate and soil were not suitable to estimate each radiation dose of animals. Finally, the tooth is useful organ to estimate an initial internal exposure.
