２０２０年１月１０日から１１日の二日間にかけて、このプロジェクトの研究成果を総括し討議するために、"The League of Nations and East Asia: Globalism, Empire and International Civilization"と題する "International Workshop を開催した。科研費メンバー５名に加えて、イギリス、スイス、オーストラリア、中国、台湾、タイからのメンバーを招請し、連盟と東アジアについていろいろな視点から発表が行われた。発表ペーパーは、たとえば、以下のようなものであった。
“Re-assessing the nature of the inter-war order in Asia and the Pacific: Inter-imperial humanitarianism of experts, NGOs, and the League of Nations." "The activity and legacy of the Far Eastern Bureau of the League of Nations: As a key knot in connecting regional and international orders." 2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
２０２０年１月上旬に、Inernational Workshop を設定し、その準備をしたことで、
このプロジェクトの大きな目的が達成された。万一、２月、３月にWorkshop を計画していたら、その実現は困難であったと思う。International Workshop を開催できたことで、これまでの研究成果を持ち寄り議論ができて、実りの多いものであった。

２０２０年１月に開かれたWorkshop paper の成果をもとにし、発表ペーパーについて各自コメントを受け、また、プロジェクト全体として重複する課題については調整が必要だという指摘がされたので、それを踏まえて、メンバーが完成ペーパーの提出をめざす。最終的には The League of Nations and East Asia というタイトルで、英語での編著を出版したいと考えている。
