| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
蛍光X線ホログラフィー（XFH）は、従来の元素選択性に加えて、電子状態、すなわち価数やスピン状態に選択的な情報を、3次元原子イメージとしてモデルなしに得ることができる。したがってXFHは、従来の回折やXAFSなどの手法では得ることが難しかった不純物のまわりの原子配列を得られる従来の特長だけに限らず、同じ元素でも価数やスピン状態の異なるものを識別できる極めて将来性に富んだ研究手段である。本研究では、高温超伝導体、トポロジカル絶縁体、熱電材料、価数揺動物質などの物性を、価数および電子状態選択性のある原子配列の観点から議論することを試みる。特にFe系高温超伝導体を対象として、まさにその超伝導性が発現する超低温での局所原子配列と超伝導性との相関を追求する。
平成30年度には、前年度に完成し7Kまで冷却することができるXFH装置をSPring-8のBL39XUビームラインに持ち込み、YbInCu4価数転移物質について300 Kおよび7 Kで測定を行った。測定したYb LIII吸収端付近のXANESスペクトルからYb2+とYb3+イオンを区別したホログラムを抽出した。データはスパース・モデリングを用いた解析を行い、その結果は現在Physical Review Lettersへの投稿準備を行っている。平成31年度には、Bi2Te3Fexトポロジカル絶縁体やFeSe0.4Te0.6高温超伝導体を対象としたXFH実験を計画しているが、特に過剰Feの存在などFeの価数選択的な原子配列情報を得ることを目指す。

Reason
7 Kまでの超低温での蛍光X線ホログラフィー実験装置の作成に成功し、それを用いて価数転移物質について価数選択性のある原子像を得ることができた。そのデータ解析には新しいスパース・モデリングのアルゴリズムを用いた。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Bi2Te3Fexトポロジカル絶縁体やFeSe0.4Te0.6高温超伝導体を対象としたXFH実験を計画しているが、特に過剰Feの存在などFeの価数選択的な原子配列情報を得ることを目指す。前者については、すでにSPring-8で実験課題が採択されている。
