| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
蛍光X線ホログラフィー(XFH)は、従来の元素選択性に加えて、電子状態、すなわち価数やスピン状態に選択的な情報を、3次元原子イメージとしてモデルなしに得ることができる。したがってXFHは、従来の回折やXAFSなどの手法では得ることが難しかった不純物のまわりの原子配列を得られる従来の特長だけに限らず、同じ元素でも価数やスピン状態の異なるものを識別できる極めて将来性に富んだ研究手段である。本研究では、高温超伝導体、トポロジカル絶縁体、熱電材料、価数揺動物質などの物性を、価数および電子状態選択性のある原子配列の観点から議論することを試みる。特にFe系高温超伝導体を対象として、まさにその超伝導性が発現する超低温での局所原子配列と超伝導性との相関を追求する。
令和元年度には、7Kまで冷却することができるXFH装置をSPring-8のBL39XUビームラインに持ち込み、YbInCu4価数転移物質について300 Kおよび7 Kで測定を行った前年度の実験結果を、測定したYb LIII吸収端付近のXANESスペクトルからYb2+とYb3+イオンを区別したホログラムを抽出した。データはスパース・モデリングを用いた解析を行い、その結果はJournal of the Physical Society of Japanより原著論文として発刊した。また、日本結晶学会誌に「最近の研究動向」として解説論文が令和2年5月末に発刊されることが決定した。また、FeSe0.4Te0.6高温超伝導体を対象としたXFH実験を、BL39XU/SPring-8で行い、その解析を行っている。特に過剰Feの存在などFeの価数選択的な原子配列情報を得ることを目指す。
