Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度の主な研究活動は、①研究会、②美術史・文献研究成果公表、③英国調査準備・打合せ、④第4回英国調査、⑤データのオンライン公表計画、ニュースレター発行から成る。
①研究会を開催し、今年度の研究計画と前年度までに採取した試料の分析方法についてメンバー間で意見交換した（6月：大阪学院大学）。
②アッシュルバニパルの浮彫について、美術史・文献学的視角から分析した研究を国際アッシリア学会で発表した（7月：コレージュ・ド・フランス）。
③英国調査準備として、１）オーストリア科学アカデミーにて開催予定の国際会議主宰者のゼルツ教授（ウィーン大学）から本研究の成果公表について要請され、内容について意見交換した（8月：ウィーン）。２）アシュモリアン美術館のコリンズ博士にこれまでの調査の現状について報告（9月：オックスフォード）。３）大英博物館で行う調査の調整をブレアトン博士と行い、Ｘ線分析装置使用に必要な安全情報を大英博物館科学部門に提出し、浮彫石板の超微化石の分析についてクイン博士（UCL）と打合せを行った（9月：ロンドン）。
④第4回英国調査は、ニムルド出土の浮彫を中心に、大英博物館ギャラリーに展示される作品の調査を行った（2月：ロンドン）。中国・日本における新型コロナウィルス感染が注視される中で行った調査だったため、調査遂行に細心の注意を払う必要があったが、英国内で感染が拡大する前であったことから、奇跡的に調査を完了できた。
⑤本研究で得られた生データをオンラインで公表するにあたり、倫理規定等の諸条件に合意した上でアクセスを許可するサイト作成のため、オーフス大学のデータベース専門家ハンドベルグ博士に相談し助言を得た（3月：オーフス）。研究活動をまとめ、ニュースレター第９号を発行した。

調査許可取得が極めて困難な大英博物館において、再び調査許可が得られ、ギャラリーに展示されている作品の調査が実現したため。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

ニネヴェとニムルド出土の浮彫の化学組成データについて、ある程度まとまったデータが蓄積できたため、研究最終年度は分析結果の論文化、ならびに生データのオンライン公表に向けた準備を行う。
