Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Based on findings of our previous research, in-depth interviews of 15 Japanese and 19 French employees were conducted to identify the predictors and enablers of subjective well-being and job performance in global firms. The researchers then analyzed and coded the text of the interviews to develop a quantitative questionnaire to verify the antecedents of subjective well-being in the context of Japanese and French firms. Four hundred and forty respondents in both Japan and France were surveyed. Factor, regression and SEM analyses are being conducted to verify the findings and to identify cross-cultural differences in predictors of subjective well-being. In addition, the researchers of the project authored a paper which has been accepted by a leading international referred journal.
