Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research constructed a practical ESD theory cultivating children’s ecological imagination. The theory reconceptualized ecological imagination as ‘the imagination for connection between lives,’ ESD as a process to produce teachers’ and children’s encountering with accompanying lives and to enhance understanding of these lives and environments. In addition, we developed a supporting tool for ESD which visualized the expansion of ecological imagination.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
