Research Abstract

航空宇宙機軽量化のため、一次構造部材にも,炭素繊維強化プラスチック(CFRP)複合材料が使用されつつあるが,従来の金属材料用非破壊検査手法のみでは複雑な内部損傷を検出するのは困難である。そのため,センサを構造材料自身に組み込んで,健全性を常時診断できるヘルスモニタリング技術の適用が検討されている。本研究代表者らは,そのーつとして,材料中に埋込みが可能な細径光ファイバを開発し,それにグレーティングを書き込んだ細径FBGセンサを作成し,CFRP積層板内部の微視的損傷検出を可能にしてきた。また,圧電セラミックス(PZT)で発振し,FBGセンサの反射光波長を高速で検出し,その弾性波伝播特性から積層板中の損傷を診断する手法を提案してきた。一方,大型構造物のひずみ分布を高い空間分解能で正確に計測できる,パルス,プリポンプ式BOTDA(PPP-BOTDA)法が開発されてきた。本研究では,計測領域が極めて広いPPP-BOTDAと微細な損傷に高い感度を有するFBG-PZTシステムの特性を組み合わせて冗長系にすることで,より信頼性と診断精度の高い監視システムを構築する。まず,PPP-BOTDAで部材全体の計測を行い,分布ひずみデータおよびブリルアンスペクトル形状の変化から,損傷発生位置を推定した。その後,その推定位置付近のPZTとFBGで超音波を送受信し,より詳細な診断を行った。その際に,近年開発された超音波可視化技術を用いることで損傷部での弾性波伝播挙動を明らかにし,損傷を定量化するための適切な指標を導入することで,ミリメートルオーダーの内部損傷を検出できる可能性があることを示した。
