Research Abstract

近年、アレルギー性疾患(花粉症、アトピー性皮膚炎、気管支喘息、食物アレルギーなど)の増加が著しい。アレルギー性疾患との関係で注目されているのが腸内細菌叢であるが、その測定方法の困難さ故、いまだ十分な解明には至っていない。すなわち、腸内細菌の数は10^<14>と多く、少なくとも400種類以上が存在し、その60%から80%は培養できない不明な菌であることが明らかとなってきた。つまり、我々は腸内細菌のわずか30%の菌を培養することで全体を云々していたのである。
本研究では、青森県の弘前市岩木地区住民(人口約1.1万)を対象に腸内細菌叢の全体像とアレルギー疾患・体質の保有状況の全体像を調査し、両者の関連をみることで、腸内細菌叢とアレルギー疾患の関連を検討する。具体的には、岩木地区の20歳以上の全住民を対象として、(1)アレルギー疾患の保有状況及びアレルギー体質に関する調査(アンケート調査と好酸球数等の血液検査)と腸内細菌叢(DNAによるプロファイリング)の測定を行い、両者の関係を検討する。
