Research Abstract

富栄養化が進行し底層水の貧酸素化が進行している東京湾の堆積物表層には、細胞内に硝酸態窒素(NO_3-)を高濃度に蓄積するイオウ酸化細菌(Nitrate Accumulating SulfurOxidizing Bacteria, NA-SOB)が、広範囲にわたり高密度に生息している。本研究では、NA-SOB による堆積物からの溶存硫化物(ΣH_2S)の溶出抑制機構を定量的に解明することを目的として、青潮が頻発している東京湾を対象海域として、現場調査及び培養実験系により以下の研究を行う。

(3) NA-SOBを組み込んだ物質代謝数理モデルの開発
