| Research Abstract |
長良川上流森林域での現地観測より,間伐を主とする森林管理は,土壌水分保持能力を高め,水環境保全に大きく寄与する一方,炭素収支面では土壌呼吸量が増大する場合も発生することが明らかとなった.また,炭素収支・経済評価モデルを構築し,長良川流域に適用した結果,長期間使用できる建設用材などに木材を利用することで,バイオマス燃料として利用するよりも高い炭素固定と社会的純便益を達成できることが明らかとなった.
