| Research Abstract |
生体防御という観点からは、ヒトリゾチームの抗菌性ペプチドの発現ができれば、生体防御の強化が可能な食品や、消化器系などの傷害の治療に有効な医薬品の開発が可能になるものと考えられ、非常に有用である。本研究により、ヒトリゾチームに新規なペプチドが含まれることが明らかにした。Pichiaにより産生させることができて、これらの新規抗菌ペプチドを摂取したり投与したりすることによって、潜在的な微生物病原体に起因する感染症又は消化器系炎症等の予防や治療を行うことが期待される。
