Outline of Final Research Achievements

We systematically collected samples of mother and the newborn (blood samples of mother during pregnancy and after birth, placenta, umbilical cord blood sample) and medical information, such as body weight during pregnancy, newborn, Apgar score, and others. We recruited mothers at Kyoto Medical center during 2018 to 2020, finally 107 pregnant women were joined our study. We made database and analyzed them.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究において、まずは、周産期における望ましい甲状腺機能の管理目標が定まっていないことから、収集した検体を用いて甲状腺ホルモン値を計測し、統計学的に解析を行った。
また、母の妊娠合併症や甲状腺に関する既往歴と母児の甲状腺機能についての関連を検討した。周産期に関する母児の甲状腺機能に関するデータは乏しく、臨床上有用なデータと考える。
