Project Period (FY) 2018-04-01 – 2020-03-31
Keywords
Outline of Final Research Achievements

Far-ultraviolet (FUV, <200 nm) surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor using Al film was developed.
First, Al-SPR properties depending on refractive index changes on the Al surface were investigated by depositing bulk-liquid samples such as water and alcohols. In addition, larger SPR wavelength shifts were revealed by adding resonant-molecules. Subsequently, organic film formations with nano-meter thickness were detected as SPR wavelength shifts. Finally, bio-sensing using antigen-antibody reaction was tested.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
