Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、RDoCの概念を念頭に自閉スペクトラム症(ASD)と注意欠如多動症(ADHD)の生物学的特徴の類似性や重複について脳画像を用いて研究してきた。まずはASDの診断の意義について、非罹患同胞と比較することによりendophenotypeに着目して検討した。白質に着目研究では、性ホルモンの暴露がhigh risk群が診断を発症するか否かで重要であることを示唆した(Yamagata et al.l, Soc Cogn Affect Neurosci 2018)。また、脳の機能的結合・皮質の特徴においてもASD罹患者とその非罹患同胞で異なるパターンと共通したパターンがあることを示した(Yamagata et al., Psychiatry Clin Neurosci 2019, Brain Imaging Behav 2019)。
また、ADHD当事者の脳の機能的結合の診断内の異種性を示した(Cortese et al., J Am Acad Child Adolesc Psychiatry 2020)。
ASD成人当事者とADHD成人当事者を診断のラベルに関わらず脳の皮質的特徴に基づいてサブタイピングしたところ診断を予測できないことを示した(Itahashi et al., NeuroImage Clin 2020)。さらに感覚症状と皮質の関係をASD当事者とADHD当事者で検討したところ、ASD・ADHDに特異的なものは限られており、共通する感覚-脳関係があることを見出した(Ohta et al., Mol Autism 2020)。最後に、ASD当事者・ADHD当事者のいずれでもみられる感覚異常が共通の脳結合を介してASD症状・ADHD症状の基盤となることを示したことは本研究の目的を完遂したと言える(Itahashi et al., Brain Comm 2020)。
