Outline of Final Research Achievements

52 pregnant women　diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus from 2017 to 2018 participated in the intervention program up to 1 year after childbirth.
Age at delivery 36.1 ± 4.4 years, pre-pregnancy BMI 22.9 ± 3.9, diabetic family history 27.8%.8.9% have developed abnormal glucose tolerance (diabetes +IGT+IFG) 1 year after childbirth and 35% have developed 2 years after childbirth . No association was found between the incidence of abnormal glucose tolerance and the rate of change from pre-pregnancy weight.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

分娩後の体重推移に関しては、一般的に、産後体重は産後6ヵ月までが戻りが大きい時期と言われているが、その後の体重推移についての報告は少ない。日本人を含む東アジア人の産後体重変化に関しての報告は少なく、本研究において妊娠糖尿病既往女性の産後の体重推移を明らかにすることができた。
