Research Abstract

カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)は基礎科学と応用においてグリーン・イノベーションを先導する重要素材として、新規半導体から先端複合材料、環境、医療・バイオ応用など広範な分野で新産業創出の観点から大きな期待がかけられている。本研究は、特に二層(DW)および多層(MW)CNTの精緻な成長、構造の制御法開拓とその成長メカニズムの解明、それらの選択成長法を中心に研究展開するものである。得られた高純度サンプルの構造制御法や電子機能解析の検討を進め、さらに"Safety for Success"の観点から構造制御されたCNTを用いての生体安全性評価も含め、CNT科学と応用の両分野への貢献を目指すものである。
