Research Abstract

小児末期腎不全の重要原因である「嚢胞性腎疾患の病態解明と新治療法開発」をその大目標とし、嚢胞性腎疾患の原因遺伝子が、実際には腎内のどの尿細管に分布し、どう機能するのか、解明された多くの原因遺伝子産物が、生理的状態で相互に関連をもつのか、嚢胞形成の最初の病的変化はなにか、腎嚢胞の発生や腫大を抑制する方法はあるのか、といった主に4点の命題について、分子生物学的・組織学的・生理学的手法を用いて詳細に検討を進め、嚢胞性腎疾患の病態解明と新たな治療法の確立を目指す。
