| Research Abstract |
本研究は,様々な初期条件の下にある発展途上国における都市貧困層の居住地区(locality)が有機的なコミュニティに成長する論理を提示することを目的としている。すなわち,フィリピン,韓国,ベトナム,ウズベキスタン,およびコロンビアの都市貧困層を対象として,長期の参与観察と質問票調査によって収集したデータを用い,社会ネットワーク分析(social network analysis)の手法を駆使して,地域固有のコミュニティの出現と展開という動態を理解するに足る新しい枠組みを構築することが本研究の目標である。それは,従来の開発経済学では十分に解明することのできなかった,発展途上国の都市貧困層が形成するコミュニティの実体的理解への到達を意図している。
