Research Abstract

本研究の目的はセメント質形成細胞の発現する骨シアロ蛋白質(BSP)の機能的役割を知ることである。その端緒として、セメント質形成細胞のBSP遺伝子の組織特異性を歯肉由来線維芽細胞と比較するため、クローニングした転写制御領域の活性化試験を行った。セメント質形成細胞は転写開始点上流約7kb付近に転写活性化領域を持ち、転写因子Runx2によるクロマチン制御を受けていた。その線維芽細胞との相違はBSP遺伝子発現の組織特異性を担うものである。
