養育者-子ども間相互行為における責任の文化的形成

Research Abstract

本研究の目的は,相互行為における応答の力が基礎となり,子どもと養育者の双方が責任を徐々に発達させると考えて責任が文化的に形成される仕組みを探求することである.平成22年度はまず日本国内で乳幼児がいる家庭10軒(乳幼児は計28名)の定期訪問(平成19年度から継続中)を行い,養育者-乳幼児間の身体的相互行為,初期音声コミュニケーション,やりとり活動,模倣活動に関する映像資料を収集した.また米国及びアジア・アフリカ諸国でも上記に対応する動画資料を収集した.さらに責任形成における人類学的な基盤を探るため,大型霊長類の動画資料の収集もH21年度から継続して行っている.これらと並行して収集された資料のデジタル化・整理・分類を行うとともに,動画資料の書き起こしに基づいて月に1～2度のデータセッションを行ってきた
平成22年度は特に,ものの受け渡しを可能にする相互行為的条件について集中的に検討した.乳児は生後9ヶ月頃から他者の意図の理解が可能になるのと前後してものの受け渡しが可能になる.そこで,意図の理解との関わりに注目しながらものの受け渡し場面における発話や身振りのつらなりを分析し,これを可能にする以下の相互行為的な条件を明らかにした.(1)受け渡しを始める側がイニシアティブをとる.(2)期待された応答がない場合は,相手の注意をガイドしてやりとりを修正する.また受け手は,(3)渡される「もの」を相手も注意を向けうるものとして扱う.(4)相手がイニシアティブをとった行為に応答し,目的を共有した振る舞いを行う.さらに,これらの条件と言葉のやりとりにみられる特徴との関連について考察した
研究代表者と研究協力者はこれらの研究成果の一部を国際会議「Towards an anthropology of childhood and children」,社会言語科学会,研究代表者が定期的に主催する「責任の文化的形成セミナー」等で発表した.また調査参加者に向けた報告書を作成し,保護者に配布するとともにHPに掲載した
