Research Abstract

鉄系構造部材の疲労強度向上などに利用されているピーニングをオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼の溶接部に適用した場合の性質の変化を調査した。ピーニングにより表面部に圧縮残留応力の導入および組織の微細化により機械的特性の向上があるものの、常温食塩水中や高温水中での耐食性は低下する傾向があることを見出した。また、この耐食性の変化を利用することにより表面組織の性状の評価が可能であることを示唆した。
