Research Abstract

メダカ性分化において、増殖因子であるMIS(Mullerian inhibiting substance)の生理的機能を明らかにするため、アンチセンスオリゴを用いたMIS及びMIS受容体の機能阻害実験を行った。その結果、MISまたはMIS受容体の機能阻害により、雌雄の生殖細胞の増殖が完全に抑制された。このことから、MISは、メダカ性分化時期において、雌雄の生殖細胞の増殖に不可欠な因子であることが明らかとなった。
