| Research Abstract |
雌雄産み分けは、家畜動物の効率的生産という意味で非常に重要な技術であり、特に胚移植前の段階で雌雄胚選別することが望まれる。本研究では細胞にダメージを与えないライブセルイメージング技術を応用し、性染色体を認識する蛍光プローブを開発することで新規雌雄初期胚選別技術の開発を目指した。期間中、雌胚特異的に見られるX染色体不活性化現象をリポートする蛍光プローブを開発し、実際に雌雄胚選別を試みたところ、マウス胚において雌雄の100%の産み分けに成功した。なお、本技術は産仔に対して無害であり、かつ遺伝子組み換え動物にはならないことから、現場への応用が期待される。
