| Research Abstract |
軟骨細胞の分化調節メカニズムへの理解を深めるため、分化を調節する分泌性蛋白質因子に焦点を当て、その同定・解析を試みた。その結果、SST-REX法によって313クローンを単離し、70種以上の分泌性蛋白質因子を同定した。これらの分子群の中から、特に候補因子としてInsulin-like growth factor binding protein 5(IGFBP5)に注目し、この分子が特定の軟骨細胞分化段階にのみ発現していることを突き止めた。
