Research Abstract	IL-3に関与する遺伝子としてERストレスタンパクであるXbp1(X-box binding protein 1)を同定した。Xbp1はIL-3に発現・活性化がコントロールされており、ノックダウンすると細胞増殖能の低下、apoptosisの誘導が確認された。また、活性型のXbp1を誘導すると抗apoptosis作用が見られ、同時に、細胞周期の停止と骨髄系への分化が確認された。よって、Xbp1はIL-3にコントロールされ、サイトカインシグナルと密接な関係を持ち、細胞の分化・増殖に大きく関わっている。
