Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study was conducted with three main objectives: 1) the development of a Computerized Adaptive Test (CAT) to measure activities and participation, 2) the measurement of activities using a wristwatch-type accelerometer, and 3) the development of ADOC2, an updated version of the Aid for Decision-making in Occupation Choice (ADOC). For the CAT, we completed data collection from 100 participants and are continuing analysis based on Item Response Theory (IRT). Regarding the wristwatch-type accelerometer, it was worn by 11 patients with hemiplegia, and an algorithm was developed to measure meaningful activities. In the development of ADOC2, we have verified the usability of the user interface (UI) and clinical utility, as well as the reliability and validity of measures of satisfaction and execution. We are currently working on adapting ADOC2 to support English, Korean, and Malaysian languages.
