Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A survey was conducted on the stockpiling of food for the sick, with patients, hospitals, and local governments. Patients with food allergies had begun stockpiling food due to concerns about food in times of disaster, triggered by media reports, and they wanted the local government and medical facilities to cooperate in stockpiling, as they too would stockpile their own food. Hospitals felt the need to stockpile their own food for the sick and actually had a fixed stockpile, but on the other hand, nutritional guidance to patients was inadequate. The local government had stockpiled a certain amount of food for the sick to a certain extent, but since they did not cooperate with local hospitals and other institutions, they did not know how much they needed to stockpile, and they wanted the patients themselves to take responsibility for the supply. It is necessary to resolve these discrepancies in thinking.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
食物アレルギーのように特別な病者用食の備蓄について、患者と病院と自治体にそれぞれ調査を行ったところ、3者で考え方の違いがあることが分かった。この考え方の齟齬を解消していくためには、今後地域の病院が中心となって、通院患者数などから、その地域での病者用食の必要量を推定し、それの必要量を基に自治体での備蓄計画を作成することが重要である。一方で、地域の病院は通院患者に対しても積極的に災害に対する備蓄の方法やその必要性を教育し、患者自身が災害に備えることで、自身の不安を解消できるように努めることが大切である。
