Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Elementary and junior high schools in China, the development of ‘quality education’ was observed in each school's own curriculum (school based curriculum). For example, one primary school in Guangzhou, which we visited in 2019, all students had classes to develop their thinking skills through GO in the lower grades and concentration skills through archery in the upper grades. In another school, extracurricular activities such as traditional musical instruments and programming were offered to those who wished to participate in out-of-school education, while painting, calligraphy, piano and violin classes were offered at another youth palace(xiaonian gong). These were taught by skilled elderly people living in the community and instructors from the community school, showing the expansion of education in areas other than school subject instruction and the cooperation of local leaders.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
