| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Because students worked together on the same tasks in collaborative learning, there seemed to be close relations among students' help-seeking in mathematics lessons: Chained, consecutive, and simultaneous help-seeking. As a tool of the activity system of mathematics lessons, help-seeking took various forms and played multiple roles. Rules and division of labor in collaborative activity seemed to affect the facilitation of students' help-seeking.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
今日，アクティブ・ラーニングにおいて求められている小グループ中心の協働的学習においては，生徒同士がお互いから学びあうことが期待されている．グループ内の効果的な支援を可能にするには，生徒自身がグループ内で，他者に支援を求めるヘルプ・シーキング（援助要請）を積極的にすることが重要である．しかし，従来の中学校数学科の授業において生徒同士の援助要請は非常に限られていた．本研究の成果として，協働的学習における援助要請が複雑なプロセスを含んでおり，援助要請を促進にするには，授業における教授・学習の活動システム全体の見直しが不可欠であることが示唆された．
