Outline of Final Research Achievements

The original aim of this study was to verify the effectiveness of an intervention model that promotes creative conflict resolution among Japanese university students. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, the focus shifted to exploring students' experiences and interpersonal challenges in online classes, and we attempted to utilize anonymity, role-playing, and the practical application of the intervention model in the development of courses on dealing with interpersonal conflict. Based on the results of these studies, we produced a publication that contributes to improving university education by enhancing related social-emotional skills.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

全人的教育の重要性が主張される今日の大学教育では、社会情動的技能の育成への関心は高い。日本では大学生の社会情動的技能の向上を図るプログラムはあまり報告されていないが、海外でも大学生の対人葛藤調整に焦点を当てたものはほとんど報告されていない。本研究は、多文化共生の課題に直面しながら、日本の文化的特徴として潜在化したり回避されたりしやすい対人葛藤の体験を取り上げ、その創造的調整の教育指針を示す出版物を制作したことに独自の重要な意義がある。
