Outline of Final Research Achievements |
For the first time, it has been clarified that in mature oocytes obtained after in vitro maturation culture of human immature oocytes, there are features associated with pre-implantation embryonic development in the duration from the appearance to the disappearance of the pronucleus in the subsequent parthenogenetic stimulation process. This is different from the timing of the appearance and disappearance of the pronucleus after ICSI in general infertility treatment, and it also suggested a connection with the timing of the first polar body expression during the in vitro maturation process, and the time required from the first polar body expression to parthenogenetic stimulation.
There have been no reports to date that continuously analyze the dynamic behavior from in vitro maturation to pre-implantation embryonic development in parthenogenesis in human gametes and embryos. The results obtained are beneficial for examining age-related changes in human embryos.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
ヒト個体加齢による卵子老化において、染色体分配異常の増加は不妊治療における成績低下の大きな理由である。一方で妊孕性温存における卵子凍結は近年需要が増す中、個体加齢に加えたin vitro agingの影響に関しては検討が不十分であった。 第1極体放出という核成熟と、細胞質成熟の時間的乖離が、単為発生後の前核の挙動にどう影響するかを検討し、胚発育との関連を評価した初めての研究であり、今後の卵子老化研究の一助となる。
