Project Period (FY) 2019-04-01 – 2024-03-31
Outline of Final Research Achievements

By observing the bioabsorption process of a drug-eluting bioabsorbable magnesium stent using OCT, we were able to investigate problems with the absorption process and the occurrence of events after stent placement. We also investigated the effect of a drug-eluting bioabsorbable magnesium stent on side branch lesions using 3D-OCT, and its usefulness was confirmed. However, there are still many points that are unclear regarding the vascular response during the magnesium absorption process in vivo, and the appropriate metal absorption speed and drug elution speed are also considered to be future issues.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
