| Research Abstract |
本研究の目的は、意識や内省と呼ばれる自身の心の内部への能動的アクセスの発生過程を、広範な種比較と発達比較により実証的に検討し、それを通じて、他者理解のメカニズムを明らかにすることである。21年度、藤田は、フサオマキザルのメタ記憶の領域特殊性を、顔という社会的刺激を用いて検討した。実験は継続中であるが、人物と顔の向きそれぞれの記憶強度をモニターできる可能性が示されつつある。イヌは1度だけ生じた事象の場所だけではなく、内容をも後刻エピソード記憶的に想起できる可能性を示した。フサオマキザルは同種他者の労働貢献に応じて食物を与えることを明らかにした。またこのサルは、同種他者の感情表出から、その原因となる事物の価値を判断できることを示した。板倉は、乳児における他者の行為の予測をアイトラッカーで計測し、6、8、10ヶ月児は他者の行為を予測するが、4ヶ月児はそうでないこと、またこの予測は自身の運動行為の発達と密接に関連していることを示した。また、新奇物呈示場面で、ロボットとヒトがコミュカティブに物体を指示した場合、ロボット条件で母親参照の頻度が高くなる傾向を見いだした。明和は、行為の理解と産出との関係を個体発生的・進化史的観点から検討した。具体的には、ヒト乳児とチンパンジーを対象とした行動実験をおこない、自己の行為経験が他者の行為の理解を促進することをヒトの12か月齢児で見出した。また、ヒトは生後1歳半より、過去に他者と共有した知識を基盤として他者の意図を文脈に応じて理解することを明らかにした。平田は、アイトラッカーを用いて、チンパンジーが同種個体の顔写真を見る際の視線を計測し、顔の中でも目の部分に強く注意が向き、開眼顔と閉眼顔で知覚処理が異なること、および顔の全体処理がおこなわれていることを明らかにした。またメタ記憶課題を実施する前段階として、チンパンジーに遅延見本あわせ課題を習得させた。
