南極氷床内陸表層部の層位形成の物理機構とその電波リモートセンシング

Research Abstract

本年度は、南極観測で得られた雪氷試料および現地データやリモートセンシングデータを元に、試料分析とデータ解析を実施した。研究実施のため、専門研究者として福井幸太郎とスーディクスィルヴィアンが科研費プロジェクト研究員として従事した。また、研究代表者・連携研究者・研究協力者が各種計測を行った。また、密接な研究打合せと討論を実施のために所属各機関を結ぶ国内旅費を執行した。また、国際学会での研究発表をおこない、そのための旅費を執行した。地中探査レーダ観測については北極圏および南極半島での観測結果との比較研究も実施した。試料分析にかかる物品の購入を実施した。実施計画の主要事項は以下5項目である。
(1)南極現地観測データとして得られた氷床表層部の物理構造データのまとめを実施。藤田と福井。
(2)南極観測で得られた270MHz地中探査レーダの初期処理と編集作業を福井が担当。福井は北極圏および南極半島の雪氷に対する同種観測の観測結果との南北比較研究も実施。
(3)雪氷試料の物理解析の開始として、マイクロ波誘電率テンソルの連続計測(担当:藤田)、結晶集合組織計測(担当:藤田、他)を実施した。
(4)南極観測で得られたマイクロ波放射計データの初期処理・編集作業を実施。連携研究者の榎本(北見工大)とスーディクスィルヴィアンが担当。
(5)フィルンの物理特性から、氷床表層物理プロセスと、深部での気泡形成プロセスにかかる考察作業を実施。
