| Research Abstract |
新型エアガン・ストリーマーシステム、海底地震計アレー及び本計画で用意する海洋物理計測システムを組み合わせた観測を実施することにより海底制御地震学の新展開を図る。具体的には(1)海底巨大地震の断層上盤側の固体/流体複合系の2次元構造を求め、複合系特有の海底地殻現象(海溝付近の低周波地震など)との関わりを明らかにする。(2)地震探査の折に海洋物理観測を行い得られた音速・密度構造並びに流速・乱流構造と屈折・反射構造とを比較することにより、海洋内部波生成過程及び海洋鉛直混合の実態を明らかにする。
