Research Abstract |
I developed systemic gene delivery systems for vascular diseases using polymeric micelles, composed of poly(ethylene glycol)-polycation block copolymers and plasmid DNA. I designed polymeric micelles with various intelligent functions, and they achieved an enhancement of stability in blood stream, targeting to disease regions, controlling intracellular trafficking, and effective release of encapsulated gene.
