Research Abstract

曲面の写像類群の要素はpseudo-Anosov(以下pAと略す),reducible,periodicの3つのタイプに分類できる.pA写像類は代表的な不変量を2つ持つ.一つはpA写像のdilatationであり,もう一つは写像トーラスの双曲体積である.
近年,Farb-Leininger-Margalitは,次の結果を発表した:
「ある有限個の円周上の曲面束が存在し,"小さな"dilatationをもつ任意のpA写像(曲面は何でもよい)は,この有限個の中の,ある多様体をDehnfillingしてえられる多様体が許容するfibrationのモノドロミーである.」これは「"小さな"dilatationをもつ任意のpA写像は,ある有限この円周上の曲面束から"生成される".」と言うこともできる.つまり小さなdilatationを持つpA写像を調べるためには,ある有限この3次元多様体のfibrationのモノドロミーを調べればよいというわけである.しかし,彼らの結果からは,具体的にどのような有限個の多様体がこの性質を持つのかはわからない.本研究の1つの目標は,小さなdilatationをもつpA写像を生成する3次元多様体の決定である.
