Research Abstract |
Researchers analyzed the chemical composition in whole cells of Orientia tsutsugamushi and concluded that this bacteria have no peptidoglycan. But we revealed that the fosfomycin strongly suppresses the growth of Orientia. This finding helps the development of a new therapeutic strategy of the scrub typhus.
