Outline of Annual Research Achievements

当初の計画のとおりに研究を行った。はやぶさ2試料配布委員会より小惑星リュウグウ表面物質試料の配分を受け、含まれる有機化合物の分析を国際共同研究の代表者として実施した。当初の分析計画通りに、2個の粉末試料(A0106, C0107)については研究代表者の有機物分析専用のクリーンルーム中で溶媒抽出を行い、さまざまな有機化合物の液体クロマトグラフィー/超高分解能質量分析を行った。また、研究分担者は多次元キラルクロマトグラフィー/高感度蛍光分析により、アミノ酸の存在量と個々のアミノ酸の光学異性体(DL体)分析を行った。抽出液試料の一部は国際協力研究者によって、更なる超高質量分解能分析およびアミノ酸、アミン、カルボン酸や芳香族炭化水素などの分析を行った。また、1個の粒子試料(A0080)について、脱離エレクトロスプレーイオン化/高分解能質量分析法を用いて試料表面に存在する有機分子の空間分析を代表者のクリーンルーム中で行った。その結果、 リュウグウ試料にはアミノ酸、カルボン酸、アミン、芳香族炭化水素を始めとして、多くの種類の有機化合物が存在することを明らかにした。また、試料表面には有機化合物が不均一に分布することも判明した。さらに数個の炭素質隕石試料を分析することにより、小惑星リュウグウとの有機化合物の分布を比較することができた。これらの結果について、複数の国際学会で発表を行い、Scienceなどの国際学術誌に発表した。さらに数編が投稿済みである。実質的な分析作業は終了し、当初予定したより多くの研究成果を得ることができた。
