Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では衝撃力を利用した超音速・高粘度マイクロ液体ジェット生成法(代表者の開発技術)に基づき、ジェットの伸長・分裂・衝突という医学・工学応 用に不可欠な各要素の物理機構解明・能動制御を達成するため、次世代製造プロセスにとって需要の高い粘弾性液体ジェットに焦点を絞り、学術的に未解明な特徴的挙動を解明に取り組み続けている。
2023年度は主に次世代製造プロセスの実現に向けた学術課題に取り組んだ。
まず、無針注射器による生体組織への貫入については、皮膚からジェット射出口までの距離の影響を系統的に調査した。これまで、代表者は分担者と協力し、高速ジェットをラット皮膚へ衝突させる実験を行っており、その結果と比較し、貫入深さと距離の関係および貫入深さの決定メカニズムについて調査した。新たに数値計算を援用し、運動量流束密度によって説明できることを明らかにした(Igarashi, Tagawa et al., Phys. Fluids 2024)。
次に、軟質材料印刷における液滴と着弾壁面組織との相互作用について研究を進めた。ウェアラブル(バイオ)印刷に向けて、液滴着弾時の軟質材料と液滴の相互作用を解明するために、生体模擬組織であるゼラチンに液滴を衝突させ、その非定常応力分布を計測した。これまで固体板への衝突現象との差異が報告されていたが、その原因である軟質材料の影響、特に軟質材料の変形と材料内応力場についての知見が得られていなかった。そこで、高速度偏光カメラを用いた光弾性法により応力分布を計測し、粘弾性を考慮した数値計算を通じて、生体材料内の応力分布を解析した。この成果に基づいて、液滴の射出条件(液滴径,衝突速度)に応じた応力負荷をモデル化し(Yokoyama, Tagawa et al., Optics and Lasers in Eng. 2024)、生体負荷(痛み)の定量化を目指した。
