3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
The Covid19 crisis has slightly delayed this project. However, I was able to take one research trip to the United States and one research tip to Himeji and Kyoto.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I have been invited to contribute a book chapter to an edited volume on Japanese aesthetics. I have been invited to deliver a keynote lecture at an online conference in October, 2023. My book is scheduled to be published in November, 2023.

Causes of Carryover |
I plan to continue conducting research according to my research plan. The budget is necessary for continuing the research.
