Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, to explore the ideal approach to first-year education in conjunction with supporting students' career development, we aimed to: (1) objectively understand the current state of generic skills in first-year students and again in third-year students before job hunting, and (2) examine how students' individual characteristics at the time of enrollment, as well as their sense of university adaptation and career awareness after enrollment, are related to learning outcomes (academic performance and generic skills) throughout the undergraduate program.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の意義は,1年時および就職活動前の3年時における学業成績ならびに汎用的技能習得における個人差と伸長度を規定する要因について、Astin(1993)のI-E-Oモデルを基に、学生の学習成果(learning outcome)に焦点を当てて検討することにある。すなわち、入学時の個人特性の影響を考慮した上で、入学後の初年次教育における大学適応感やキャリア意識の醸成の重要性について、学修成果との関連を通して分析することができたと考える。
