Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Focusing on global career education through collaborative learning among Japanese and Canadian learners, this study aims to clarify the effects of collaborative learning with diverse members in industry-academia-government in PBL courses. The results of the quantitative and qualitative research summarized in three conference presentations (two international, one domestic) and four academic papers (three international, one domestic). The research showed that both the face-to-face and COIL approaches were effective in supporting Japanese and Canadian learners could understand cross-cultural education, international business, and problem solving. Furthermore, Japanese and Canadian companies and organizations gained new insights from learners' suggestions on issues. The collaboration among industry-academia-government contributes to an ecosystem related to the long-term development of global leaders in the next generation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
近年、世界中で新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大により、教育機関でICTを活用した教育の質の向上が求められている。国内外でCOILによる授業の実施は増加傾向にあるが、その効果検証が必要であった。本研究で日加大学・企業・団体との産学官連携型PBLの授業を対象に定量・定性調査を用いて対面とCOILを比較した授業の効果を検証した。その結果、COILでも日加学習者の異文化教育や国際ビジネスの理解、課題解決、個人学習と協働学習に関する学習効果が示された。このような産学官連携は、長期的な次世代リーダーシップの育成に関するエコシステムの形成に貢献しており、社会的な意義があることが示唆された。
