宇宙自然プラズマ波動の同時多点観測による励起・伝搬特性の三次元的理解と利活用

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では，衛星観測や地上観測などを組み合わせた地球内部磁気圏の多地点観測に着目し，内部磁気圏物理をコントロールする自然プラズマ波動の励起・伝搬の実体を理解することを目的としている．本研究で得られた最も大きな成果は，日本のあらせ衛星，アメリカのVan Allen Probes衛星，日本のPWINGネットワーク，カナダのCARISMA誘導磁力計ネットワークによる多地点観測データを組み合わせ，電磁イオンサイクロトロン（EMIC）波動の伝搬経路と空間的な広がりを解明したことである．プラズマ波動伝搬の様子だけではなく，プラズマ波動による低エネルギーイオン加熱の同時観測も成功させ，内部磁気圏における波動粒子相互作用の三次元的理解に貢献した．また，日本の「あらせ衛星」で観測された内部磁気圏の低周波プラズマ波動解析を進め，空間的な分布を解明するとともに，レイトレイシングと呼ばれるプラズマ波動伝搬経路の計算手法を低周波プラズマ波動に応用し，三次元的な伝搬経路の可視化やコールドイオン組成比・イオン種の変化に対するプラズマ波動伝搬特性の変化などを数値的に明らかにする環境を整えた．最終年度は，本研究成果や発展的成果を広く周知するために2件の国際会議招待講演（AT-AP-RASC 2022，AOGS Annual Meeting 2022）と1件の国内学会発表（JpGU 2022）を行うとともに，アメリカの研究者らを中心として構成される内部磁気圏物理セミナー（RBSP Seminar）で招待講演を引き受け実施した．
