Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We recorded spiking activities of neurons in the hippocampal-entorhinal circuit with an optogenetic-assisted cell-type identification method while head-fixed rats performed our original left-right pedal releasing task. The combination of these contemporary techniques revealed that hippocampal and entorhinal neurons developed action-outcome contingency after learning.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
